Arrival in Ireland – Limerick City

Upon arrival, meet your professional driver-guide who will take you to Limerick, a city steeped in medieval history. Enjoy a city tour and visit the imposing St. John’s Castle, a 13th-century fortress that has played a significant role in Ireland’s history. Experience the rich culture, art, and shopping in Ireland’s first City of Culture. Tonight, join us for a welcome dinner at your hotel, where you can savor traditional Irish cuisine. (D)

Limerick - Optional Tour: Cork City and Blarney Castle

After breakfast, the day is yours to explore Limerick at your leisure, visiting sites like the Hunt Museum, which houses a vast collection of art and antiquities. Alternatively, join an optional tour to Cork City, Blarney Castle, and Blarney Woolen Mills. At Blarney Castle, kiss the legendary Blarney Stone to receive the gift of eloquence and explore the castle’s beautiful gardens. (B)

Limerick - Cliffs of Moher/ Burren/Limerick-Optional Medieval Banquet

Travel northwest to the dramatic Cliffs of Moher, where you can witness breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the rugged coastline. Continue through The Burren, a unique limestone landscape rich in archaeological and natural history, home to rare flora and ancient tombs. Limerick – Killarney/Adare/Limerick

Start your journey today in the picturesque town of Adare, renowned for its string of pristine thatched cottages, a reminder of its 19th-century English landlord, the Earl of Dunraven. Then head southwest to the charming town of Killarney, known for its stunning landscapes and vibrant culture. Explore its quaint shops, bars, and restaurants. Here, a traditional jaunting car ride through Killarney National Park can be arranged to the historic Ross Castle. This morning, you will visit Malahide Castle, one of Ireland’s oldest and most renowned strongholds and home to the Talbot family for over 800 years. Experience the interactive exhibit situated in a cavern that recounts the history of the Talbot family, including tales of their resident ghosts. Embark on a guided tour of the reception rooms, taking in the magnificence of this legendary landmark. Visit Belfast and the United Kingdom next and explore the social history of Northern Ireland’s capital with a panoramic tour. Belfast /Giant’s Causeway/Titanic Experience/Belfast

Head out this morning to visit the Giant’s Causeway at the foot of the basalt cliffs in County Antrim. Comprising 40,000 massive black basalt columns, the Giant’s Causeway has a story that dates back to the legendary Irish giant Finn McCool. Legend has it that Finn McCool created the causeway to cross the Irish Sea and battle his Scottish rival, Benandonner. After a fierce fight, Benandonner fled back to Scotland, taking the causeway with him. Later today, visit the Titanic Experience. The Titanic Experience is the world’s most accurate retelling of the iconic story, spread over nine interactive galleries. Explore the sights, sounds, smells, and stories of the ship, as well as the people and city that made her. Cap off your evening with dinner at the hotel. (B,D)
